Application Process

How do I apply for a role?

Found a role that you like? Please send your CV and cover letter to [email protected] and state which position and location you are applying for in the subject of your email.

What should I put in my cover letter?

A cover letter is the chance to showcase your skills and why you want to work for The Climbing Hangar. Make it personable to yourself and be authentic. A great cover letter is your chance to stand out against the other applications.

When will I hear back about my application?

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to contact everyone who does not make it past the CV shortlisting stage. Please do not feel discouraged if you have not had a response from us, as we receive a high volume of applications.

Reasonable Adjustments

Can I request reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process?

Absolutely! During the recruitment process, we will inquire about any reasonable adjustments you may need for accommodation. We encourage you to get in touch, and we can try to make the recruitment process as comfortable as possible.

Please contact [email protected] and if you are successful in the final stages of the recruitment process, please contact the Hiring Manager directly.

What kind of adjustments can be provided?

Reasonable adjustments can take place in many forms. We can look at physical adjustments such as location and access of rooms and equipment, lighting and sound. Scheduling adjustments, looking at alternative time slots. Visual adjustments such as text font, sizer and colour adjustments to recruitment materials.

These adjustments are designed to remove or reduce disadvantages related to the disability or health condition, ensuring candidates can demonstrate their skills and suitability for a role on a equal footing.

Can I apply to a role if I don’t meet every requirement?

Safeguarding & Checks

What pre-employment checks are required?

A right to work check is compulsory. Your role may also require a basic or enhanced DBS check. To find out more information, please contact [email protected]. We will also inform you, if successful, prior to an employment offer, what level of barring check your role will need.

Practical Questions

What happens if the role closes early?

We reserve the right to close job applications early. This is usually due to the high volume of applications we receive. We strongly encourage you to apply early if you are interested in a role.

Can I receive feedback if I am unsuccessful?

It is our company policy not to provide feedback to candidates, as this ensures consistency and fairness for all candidates.
