The Climbing Hangar are looking for someone to join our support office team on a 9 month fixed term contract (maternity leave cover). The successful candidate will report into the Financial Controller and CEO and be responsible for our HR function.

Based in Liverpool City Centre, the role offers a dynamic environment & flexible/hybrid Working. Candidates applying for the HR Officer element of this role only will still be considered but should specify so in their application.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

HR Specific duties (90%):

  • Act as the first port of call to employees and external partners for all HR related queries
  • Organise and maintain employee records on our HR system including sickness and maternity leave.
  • Prepare and manage HR documents i.e., employee contracts and recruitment documentation including ID and visa documents.
  • Audit HR documentation to ensure compliance for all employees.
  • Reviewing and renewing company policies and legal compliance when new legislation is released.
  • Assistance in any disciplinary investigations
  • Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics including holiday, leave, retention rates, staff turnover and legally compliant trainings.
  • Assist in the payroll process by updating relevant employee information (i.e., new starters, leavers, and absences)
  • Improving office systems.
  • Must be diligent and organised to manage workload.
  • Good communication is key to work seamlessly with the managers across the sites.
  • Must be available to travel to different sites to meet with employee’s face to face.

PA related duties (10%):

  • Proactively simplify the CEOs role, minimising his workload, assisting with organising his time ensuring he is prompted to work to varying deadlines.
  • Organise and manage the CEOs day/week/month to ensure maximum efficiency of his time, in line with various business demands.
  • Plan, and pre-empt where the CEO/CFO may need information prior to arranged meetings.
  • To effectively manage the CEOs diary, prioritising meetings/calls accordingly
  • Planning and organising events

Essential Experience:

  • CIPD Level 3 Qualified as minimum
  • Experienced in working in a fast-paced, preferably multisite businesses
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise, multitask
  • Possess excellent attention to detail
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Windows operating systems & Microsoft suite including Windows 10, Sharepoint, Teams

Desirable Experience:

  • Use of Fourth Workforce Management System
