Job Role
As a member of our Kitchen Crew, you will be key in making the magic happen behind the scenes. Your role is all about teamwork, efficiency and creating culinary masterpieces. You will be responsible for preparing food, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all our customers. We value positivity and enthusiasm to learn, as this is essential for developing the skills needed for a rewarding career path with The Climbing Hangar.
Role Responsibilities
Exceptional Customer Service: Greeting customers and answering any queries they may have - customer engagement is key; we strive to create a welcoming environment.
Health & Safety: Ensure health and safety standards – routine cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the site and the kitchen facilities.
Barista: Get to know your way around coffee; café duties will be expected, but you will be taught everything you need to know, so don’t be too daunted by this.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the kitchen facilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and smooth operations during busy periods.
Stock Management: Support the management in stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Right to work in the UK.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
- Previous kitchen/customer service experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria
- Passion for climbing and a genuine interest in promoting the sport to others.
- Social media content creation experience.
- Barista experience.
