1. METABOLISM

Exercise is proven to boost a person’s metabolism. The best way to maximise that effect is by exercising early, since you’ll burn more calories at the optimum rate throughout the day.

  1. MOTIVATION

They say you can’t outrun a bad diet, and you can’t entirely out-climb it either. But training early increases your motivation to make the right food choices throughout the day.

This will result in a healthier you, and that will result in less poundage to lift to the top of the wall.

  1. MOOD

Exercise releases endorphins and endorphins make you feel good. We love endorphins. But most of us rarely enjoy them before the end of the day, since we reserve our training for the evenings after work.

  1. FOCUS

If you’re used to reaching work, or school, whilst still half asleep, it’s unlikely that your activity will receive your full attention.

A morning workout ensures that you’re fully alert and more likely to focus on the day ahead. Yeah, we love coffee as much as the next person, but even java can’t compare with getting jacked.

  1. FREEDOM

Another benefit of the morning climb is that you won’t need to squeeze in your climb later in the day (unless you’re well and truly psyched).

Most of us have families and friends that we rather like to see. Sometimes our training plans can get in the way but working out in the AM leaves more of the PM for everything else.

  1. BLOOD PRESSURE

In a study published in the Journal of Vascular Health and Risk Management, researchers monitored the heart health of participants who trained at different times of the day.

Those who trained in the morning lowered their blood pressure by 10% and that continued all day and lowered further during the night.

And if research studies don’t put you to sleep, morning workouts just might.

  1. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ’s

So a lower blood pressure can result in longer sleep cycles and more restful sleep, and morning workouts bring the lower blood pressure to the table.

You’re more alert during the day and even sleepier during the night. It’s basically exactly what you want and need.
