A close shave for Hangar Coach

Our amazing Hangar Women Rock coach at TCH Liverpool Matchworks, Anna Rowe, recently shaved her head to raise money for Cancer Research UK (CRUK).

Anna said “So many people around me have suffered from cancer. They have been incredibly strong and resilient through some very dark times, so I wanted to shave my head in solidarity and raise money to support the vital research being put into helping cure cancer”.

Anna raised over £1000 to donate to CRUK. Thanks to the remarkable research done by scientists working with CRUK, cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. However, there are plenty of opportunities to accelerate this consistent progress such as improvements to technology that will help find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.

As well as supporting CRUK, Anna donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust who provides free, real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

Anna, you are an absolute legend! Also, a big thank you to all those that donated. See all the images of Anna’s big hair-off at TCH Matchworks below.
